- Fund Name- Axis NIFTY Small-Cap 50 Index Fund NFO.
- Type- An open-ended index fund.
- Subscription open date- 21st February 2022
- Subscription close date- 7th March 2022
- Benchmark- NIFTY Small-Cap 50 TRI Index
- Minimum Amount for Application during NFO- Rs 5000 and in multiples of Rs 1 after that.
- Plans- Both Direct and Regular Plans are available
- Options Available- Both Growth and Income Distribution Cum Capital Withdrawal Option (ICDW)
The Axis NIFTY Small-Cap 50 Index Fund is an Open-Ended Index Fund tracking the NIFTY Small-cap 50 Index.
The Axis NIFTY Small cap 50 Index Fund is structured in a manner to look for Quality, Scalability, and Stability in its portfolio. By relying on the market’s ability to identify niche high-performing growth businesses, the fund will be selecting the most liquid small caps by average daily turnover over 6 months. Furthermore, higher weights will be assigned to companies with larger float and securities will be excluded if the stock falls below the 130th rank based on full market cap.

Fund Managers Of The NFO!!
The fund manager appointed to manage the new NFO is Mr. Jinesh Gopani.
He joined Axis AMC in 2009 as an Equity Fund Manager and worked his way to Head of Equity in 2016. He currently manages the flagship Axis Long Term Equity Fund amongst other funds. Before Axis AMC, Jinesh was associated with Birla Sunlife AMC as a Portfolio Manager, where he was responsible for alternative assets across the growth, value, and dividend basket. He was associated with this company from June 2008 to October 2009.
He was also associated with Voyager India Capital as a Sr. Research Analyst responsible for the BFSI & Infrastructure sector and held a sectorial portfolio manager role for investments. He was with Voyager India Capital from February 2006 to May 2008.
